Established in 1972 Packit is an importer and distributor of packaging machinery and materials. Packit’s continued success is due to its Customer Service and Continuity of Supply which is underpinned by an extensive packaging product range and large inventory. Packit as part of the KayDav group has its Head Office is in Ottery, Cape Town with Packit branches in Cape Town, Durban and Johannesburg as well as agents throughout South Africa and Namibia.

We are making extensive headway in the development of our sustainability based VALA range of high quality, recyclable food packaging materials. Our growth in this area positions us at the forefront of sustainable food packaging in South Africa for our retailers, their customers and ultimately our planet’s future.

Packit’s aim is to be universally recognized as the packaging suppliers of choice.  We strive to be known for our integrity, relationships with stake holders, exceptional service, flexibility and our high quality products sold at competitive prices.

Packit sources its products from reputable manufacturers, both locally and internationally. Machines are imported from Europe and the East.  Packit is an appointed representative of Fabbri Group, based in Itay.  We carry both the Elixa and Automac ranges. We aim to  grow these ranges to provide a full packaging solution to our market.

OUR FOCUS

• The food manufacturing and packaging sector nationally, with our main focus being pre-packing facilities, supplying these industries with trays, food film and related packaging machinery and materials.

• General industry nationally with both packaging machinery and packaging materials, supplying many Blue Chip and SMME customers where service and continuity of supply is key.

• Packit has achieved a dominant position as the supplier of Packaging and Sealing Machines of all types, namely Vacuum Packers, Tray Sealing Machines, Shrink Wrapping Machines, Automatic Tray Wrapping and Flow Wrap Machines.
